TI thinks he can be the next Jay-Z

Postby tony on Tue 9 Dec 2008 08:14

TI stopped by "The Howard Stern Show" to talk about his chart-topping career and going to jail bu here's what he had to say when asked if he was a better rapper than Jay-Z : "I think I have potential to be just as good if not better."

So after Jim Jones, now TI is gonna go after Jigga, trying to compete with the "best rapper alive". Wow, dude is 39 and rappers are still whishing they could take his crown

Woah woah woah...
Few things you need to learn blud:

1) Jay-Z is far from the best rapper alive, fif and shady shit on him to be straight aba it.
2) T.I. is already better than Jay-Z, no doubt aba it.
3) Jay-Z is just shit.

That post was a piece of shite mate, so go shove your Jay-Z lovin ass back to wherever the fuck you came from.

Bad choice bruh.

Jay-Z was only a someone coz of Biggie's (RIP) death.
TI dropped a sweet album this summer, even though he's been through a lot this year.
American Gangster was probably the poorest album of 2007, both Curtis and Graduation beat Jay's album sales, and it's easy to see why.
Jay-Z aint no rubber band man, he aint no king of New York, and he definitely aint the 'best rapper alive'.
Keep your ears open, and listen to the new music from the streets.

Church.

everybody thinks they can beat jay becuase the old heads respect him so much before you youngin go puttin your foots in your mouth understand none of these cats have longevity like jay-z did , jay's been in the game for over 10 years name one rapper you honestly think will be even relevant ten years from now if not running his own empire owning a part of an EMpire, with a successful clothing line that outbeats his music career and a still hungry to make albums and tour?????????????????????????????????????????????? No body thats why he's the BEST !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! no one comes close with out paying homage to Jay-Z

Is that some sort of shot at fif?

10 years after their deaths, Pac and Biggie are still regarded as the best artists that have ever lived.
Jay is still alive, and isn't considered anywhere near as good.
He's fallen into the trap of rapping about his money and his hoes in almost every song.
Shady is probably the only artist yet that doesn't quote any of the above in every song.

Oh, and to cap it all off, Nas > Jay

Yo, is this for real?...Can't be serious!! First off there is a major differnce in being HOT and nice lyrically. Hot meaning being liked, being listened to, or in some cases selling many albums. Many ignorant individuals don't understand the difference. A rapper can be hot and go multi-platium and not put out above par CONSISTENT lyrics...LIL WAYNE...for example!!! Instead many artist put out medicore lyrics with an occasional NICE (not HOT) lyric that makes you think and rewind that ish! So, granted it can be argued that there are various hip hop artists out now that are as hot if not hotter than Jay-Z. As far as TI be BETTERthat Jay-Z...nah! I can't speak for the future, but he will have a looong way to go to get the lyrical concepts as Jay-Z. Is TI hotter that Jay-Z...that CAN be argued thru album sales and what not. Jay-Z may from time to time drop some lyrics or rhyme patterns that aren't as NICE or complex (mainly when he does features), but ain't many out there who do as nice and CONSISTENTLY as Jay-Z, nas, jada..etc

50....HELL NAWW
Wayne...Fuck naww
TI...naw
Soldier Boy....I need not even...

Now the above may be hot but LYRICALLY...eeehhhh????
